Can I soft proof my images with your ICC profiles?

No, unfortunately, our ICC profiles are not available for external use. Our ICC profiles are the result of years of careful customisation to achieve the quality that Folio Albums is known for, and as such, they are closely guarded.

How to Ensure Colour Accuracy

Instead of offering ICC profiles, we provide other ways to ensure that your prints look the way you expect.

Free Test Print Service

We offer a free test print service before your first order, which allows you to compare your images on-screen with our printed output. You can request up to four A5-sized prints at no cost.

This service helps you understand how your images will translate to print, enabling you to adjust and optimise your editing workflow before committing to a larger order.

Handling Image Concerns for Future Orders

If you experience any issues with image quality or colour after your initial test print, or if you have concerns with future orders, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support team. We are more than happy to provide guidance to help ensure your prints meet your expectations.

Colour Calibration

To achieve the best results in printing, we highly recommend that you calibrate your monitor. Colour calibration ensures that the colours you see on your screen are as close as possible to the final printed output. Here are some tips for effective colour calibration:

  • Use a hardware calibrator: Devices such as a colorimeter or spectrophotometer can help accurately calibrate your monitor.
  • Set the right lighting: Make sure that the room lighting is consistent when you edit your images, as changing light conditions can affect how colours appear.
  • Adjust brightness and contrast: Ensure that your monitor’s brightness and contrast are set appropriately to avoid your prints coming out too dark or too light.
  • Regular calibration: Monitors can drift over time, so it is important to calibrate your monitor regularly, at least once a month, to maintain accuracy.
