Paul Waring is a candid, no-nonsense wedding photographer, based in Cheshire, always looking for real moments and stories. His photography style is relaxed documentary storytelling with a sophisticated feel.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve always wanted to give my clients more than just photos—they
deserve something they can hold in their hands, look at over and over, and treasure for years. That’s
why I’m really excited about introducing Folio Albums’ new Coffee Table Book into my offerings.
These albums are exactly what I’ve been looking for—stylish, practical, and a beautiful way to
showcase a wedding day.

Why I’ve fallen for the Coffee Table Book
In my humble opinion, scrolling through wedding photos on a phone or laptop just doesn’t feel the
same as flipping through a gorgeous album. There’s something special about holding a book, seeing
a wedding day in print, and remembering all the little details. That’s what makes albums shine for
me—and the love was sparked by Folio Albums. The quality is top-notch, with fine art printing that
really brings each image to life.
Now, I know I might sound a bit biased here, I’m a very proud brand ambassador for Folio Albums
—but I was a fan before I became one! I’ve been using their albums for years and have always been
so impressed with the craftsmanship. So, if it sounds like I’m gushing a little, it’s because I
genuinely love what they do. It’s like when you discover a new coffee shop and can’t stop telling
everyone about it—except in this case, the perfect Ethiopian light-roast pour-over brew (IYKYK…
I’m that nerdy about coffee) is the new Coffee Table Book.
What I love about this album is how it’s designed. The A4 portrait size gives it a sleek, editorial
feel. It’s got a fixed 25-spread layout which keeps it simple for my offerings. It’s a breath of fresh
air and I’ve not seen anything like it from other manufacturers.
There are six different cover combinations, from bold and modern to classic neutrals, so I can easily
choose one that fits my clients’ personal style. The covers are gorgeous too—whether you go for
something like Oops We Got Married or Our Story, or keep it simple with a minimalist blank cover,
the options feel fresh and contemporary. My personal favourite is The Wedding Book, which I think
is elegant but interesting.
I can have clients’ names or a special date stamped on the spine with foil, adding that little extra
touch. It’s a detail that makes the book feel bespoke and unique to them, which is exactly what I
want my clients to feel when they receive it.

How I’m including Coffee Table Books in my packages
I’m going to offer the Coffee Table Book as a slightly more affordable option compared to the
larger fine art albums. It’s a great alternative for couples who want something beautiful without the
higher price tag.
For my higher-end wedding packages, I’ll be including the Coffee Table Book alongside more
coverage and a second photographer, making it part of a premium offering. Couples will still have
the option to upgrade to the larger, leather fine art albums after their wedding if they want
something bigger and more intricate. This way, I can cater to different budgets.
Perfect wedding fair albums
Another reason I’m so excited about these books is how easy they are to showcase at wedding fairs.
Coffee table books are compact, portable, and just the right size to carry around. I’m going to bring
a few sample albums with me to fairs and open days. I’ll probably have about five made, with
simple designs and large photos (so around 50 images per book) to act as a portfolio, and I know
they’ll catch people’s attention. They’re visually appealing and instantly draw you in, making it
easy to show off my work in a way that’s modern, professional, and approachable.

Easy design, quick turnaround
A quick note on this one… If you’re scared of the time it takes to design an album, you need to try
the online design software that Folio provide. It’s super intuitive, so I can quickly pick my images,
arrange them in the perfect layout, and get everything looking just right. Then, the production time
is only 10 working days, so my couples won’t have to wait forever to get their hands on their
album.

Coffee Table Books in my workflow
I’m planning to introduce the Coffee Table Book early in the client experience—around the time of
booking, so my couples know it’s an option. It’s a great way to show that I offer something stylish
and modern at an affordable price, especially for those couples who might not be ready for the more
expensive, fine art options just yet.
And for those who want something a little more special, they’ll always have the option to upgrade
to a fine art album after the wedding. This keeps things flexible and allows me to meet each couple
where they are in terms of budget and personal preference.
Wrapping up
The Folio Albums Coffee Table Book is the perfect addition to my precious photography business.
It gives me the chance to offer something that’s high-quality, practical, and stylish while still being
a bit more affordable for my clients. I can’t wait to start showing them off at wedding fairs and
offering them to my couples as part of my packages. They’re a great way to preserve the memories
of the big day in a format that’s easy to display and enjoy for years to come.
